Frequently asked questions
We are fully compliant with Junta de Andalucia COVID19 protocol that determines cleaning of accommodation for tourism and safe operation of activities.
During the COVID Pandemic we have made the following amendments to our Booking Conditions.
We will still require a 100 Euro deposit per person to confirm your booking.
However, the final payment will now be just 2 weeks before you travel and not the standard 6 weeks. We hope that this will enable you (the traveller) and us (the holiday provider) to assess the current COVID situation at the time the final payment is due.
Should the COVID situation look unstable in either Spain or your country of residency or there be an impending announcement by either Government re COVID/Travel then we can delay the payment or, if necessary, you can make the final payment upon your arrival here in Spain.
We are offering a “Full Refund” of any funds paid if:
- Either Spain, or your country of residence, goes to lockdown
- Either Spain, or your country of residence, imposes travel restriction.
- You or any of the travellers in your group tests positive for COVID, which means they/you cannot travel (a copy of the test results will be required).
These COVID Booking Conditions over-ride our Standard Booking Conditions whilst COVID continues to affect travel
Returning Clients – We offer special discounts to our returning guests.
Groups – We offer special rates for groups on certain packages. Please contact us for more information.

Malaga airport is the biggest and serviced by most European countries and airports in the UK. However, you can also fly into Sevilla or Jerez de la Frontera.
It takes about 1hr 10mins from Malaga, Sevilla and Jerez de la Frontera airports to Ronda.
Yes, we offer optional airport pick-up and drop-off.
We meet you at the airport when your flight arrives and return you in good time for your flight home.
Most flights arrive late morning, there may be a short wait if other riders are arriving at a similar time.
You should be used to regular aerobic exercise and have a moderate level of fitness. The rides are designed to vary from easy to difficult and are within the capabilities of some-one who exercises regularly.
For your own comfort we recommend you bring 2-3 pairs of cycling shorts and tops. For most of the year you will also need sunglasses, sun protection cream, after sun lotion and a cotton scarf to protect the back of your neck from the sun. If you are prone to sun burn, then long sleeved T-shirts and full gloves will offer additional protection. During the winter months we would also recommend that you bring some waterproof cycling kit…. just in case. Finally don’t forget your helmet!
No helmet ….. no ride!
Most clients prefer to bring their own bike, which is quite easy to organise. Obtain a bike box or bag, then simply deflate the tyres, lower the saddle, turn the handle bars and pedals in and use pipe insulation to protect the frame.
It is advisable to check with your airline or travel agent, as carriers have different rules about transporting boxed bikes. Some allow you to book your bike on in advance, normally for a fee, others carry bikes for free, but may not have space on the day.
What spares do I need to bring for my bike
We have a fully equipped bike workshop for carrying out day to day maintenance whilst you are here. The store has track pumps, a work stand, tools, lubricants and cleaning materials for keeping your bike in tip top condition. We strongly recommend that you have your bike serviced before your trip and that you bring spare inner tubes and tyres (especially those who are riding on tubs) and a full set of replacement brake pads (previous clients have gone through a set in a week). If you are bringing your mountain bike then please also bring a spare rear mech hanger and chain.
There are two bike shops in Ronda, should anything major happen, in terms of bike failure, we have preferential servicing at one of the bike shops.
It is a condition of our holidays that you are covered by a medical and personal accident insurance policy that includes cover for sports activities and repatriation to your home country.
Please provide use with your insurance policy numbers and emergency contact details prior to your arrival.
We recommend that you use ‘insure for travels’ platinum policy selecting either cycling or mountain biking under the sporting or hazardous activities section.
Remember no insurance, no riding.
For those cyclists who have partners, friends or relations who do not want to join all or any of the rides (or just fancy a day out of the saddle) this area has much to offer. Within 90 minutes there is sight-seeing, taking in the historic and architecture of Sevilla, Jerez de la Frontera or sunbathing on the beaches of the Costa del Sol. there is Ronda to wonder around and the many ‘pueblos blancos’ to explore. For the more active, there are good walks in the Sierra de Grazalema National Park, Cueva de Piletas to visit, the Ancient Roman Ampitheatre to see, all very close to your accommodation There are plenty of opportunities to relax and unwind, take in some culture or simply indulge in some retail therapy. There is local shopping for regional specialities in Ronda and environs or a more cosmopolitan retail scene in nearby cities. Please enquire when booking.
It’s not essential and depends on what you want to do after the days riding. If you are happy chilling out and relaxing in Ronda then no a car is not needed. If you want to get out and explore the area then you would need a car to make the most of you holiday.
All of the accommodation in Ronda has free Internet and Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi is also available in most of the bars in Ronda
EXCELLENT Based on 141 reviews Posted on Google Leslie EdwardsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our second guided tour with Andalucian Cycle experience. This is a first class tour company with excellent bikes, guides and routes. I would highly recommend them. They will accommodate to your cycling level and ambition. Cycling in and around Ronda is a pleasure with sparsely busy roads, fantastic scenery and excellent pavement. We will be repeat customers for sure.Posted on Google KatieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Posted on Google Christophe CrombezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have already been to many cycling regions in Spain and elsewhere and I must say that Ronda ranks really high amongst them: smooth tarmac, winding roads, a choice of longer or shorter climbs, courteous drivers... The 2* San Francisco hotel was also a pleasant surprise. Not to mention the friendly and efficient organization!Posted on Google Emily McGoughTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ashley set up a custom 3 day ride for our family that was just perfect for our 8 year old. Everything was arranged well and the bikes were great. We will remember this trip forever and hope to come back for another trip in the future. Thanks Ashley and Claire!Posted on Google Sandy AyreTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I spent a week in Portugal with Ashley and Drew/Andalucian cycling experience and had a great trip! The bikes were new and high end. They took care of all the mechanical things - switching pedals, flat tire repairs - and led us through the winding roads of the city and country side. I couldn't have done this trip without their guidance and expertise. The hotel we stayed in was excellent - great location beach side - the food was plentiful and delicious. Even the airport transfer went smoothly and was all arranged for us. I recommend this company!Posted on Google Edward DyerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great week riding with Andalucian Cycling Experience in Ronda. It's a beautiful area to explore, with good roads and lots of climbing. There was a lot of variety in the scenery each day and Ronda itself is a pretty town to be based in. Ashley and Drew were good company and excellent guides, adapting to my pace and supporting me each day. Organising the trip with them was very straightforward.Posted on Google derek hydeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our trip with the Andalucian Cycling Experience was nothing short of magical! Ashley and Clare, with their 20 years of expertise, crafted a holiday to remember, ensuring every detail was perfect from our first email to the moment we departed. The attention to detail, warmth, and support from the team went above and beyond. The bikes provided were top-notch—especially the Orbea electric bike my wife used, which allowed us to ride together "effortlessly". A special mention to our guide, Drew, whose daily support and invaluable hints & tips enhanced our experience beyond what we would have discovered on our own. Had we simply followed our GPS routes, we might have missed some fantastic insights! One of the best aspects of this trip was that it was centre-based—no constant packing and unpacking, just a chance to truly relax at a comfortable hotel and focus on the cycling. The team’s flexibility was also outstanding. They adapted to the unpredictable weather with great suggestions for rainy days and even provided alternative bikes when we decided to explore some tracks. All in all, it was an exceptional holiday, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium cycling adventure. Cheers! 🚴♂️✨Posted on Google Janey W.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Incredible, high quality bikes that are extremely well-maintained. Awesome local knowledge: cycling routes, road types, traffic issues etc and even weather patterns. Professional, and friendly with decades of cycling experience. Good communication. These guys know their stuff! Would use again in a heartbeat. An absolute recommend.Posted on Google elizabeth pinkTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
