Singletrack MTB holidays Spain with the Andalucian Cycling ExperienceMTB Biking Holidays Andalucia, southern Spain

Andalucia, in Spain, has established a solid reputation for having some of the world's best technical single track trails and classic cross-country mountain biking. From our bike base in southern Spain you can ride the trails and tracks of the Grazalema Natural Park, Serrania de Ronda and the Sierra de las Nieves, from epic XC (Cross Country) riding, technical single track, rock gardens, countless switch-backs and fast flowing descents.

Andalucian Cycling Experience MTB holidays are suitable for all levels of rider from novice to the very experienced mountain biker. Our unrivalled local knowledge means we can ensure your mountain biking holiday is tailor-made to your requirements.

During the week, Ashley who is a MTB instructor, will show you a few simple techniques that will get you riding more confidently. The coaching that you will receive is built into your daily riding and for those riders who take advantage of this free training, most will leave their andalucian cycling experience riding drops offs and switchbacks, that at the beginning of the week you would have considered to difficult.

We incorporate skills practices into your standard days riding that develop braking technique, body positioning and balance on the bike. This often means that we will stop at sections of the trail that require a new level of skill for on-the-trail coaching. This informal training continues throughout your holiday, resulting in an improvement in your technical ability and, therefore, increasing your confidence.

When you combine the excellent riding and perfect climate that we have in Andalucia with the ease of flying to southern Spain you’ll discover that year round sunshine biking is only a few hours away.

We believe that we have created the perfect mountain bike biking holiday for enthusiastic riders of all abilities.
The Planes of Los Llanos

Another ride with everything to offer from open meadow, vehicle width dirt tracks, several river crossings and most importantly, some great single track. We ride through a beautiful cork tree forest before we make our first of many river crossings and onto the Planes of Los Llanos. Once across the Planes we take a fast flowing track which has several short steep rocky climbs. Pick your line, a low gear and get your legs pumping to the top!

The options on the length of this ride are endless.

Rating: Easy

We follow the old 'Ruta del Bandoleros' through some spectacular countryside. A combination of single track, vehicle width dirt tracks, quiet country lanes and water crossings with two gut busting climbs but plenty of long open descents.

A rapid 10km descent to the bottom of the Genal valley where we cross the Genal river before an 11km leg and lung burner climb to the summit on a vehicle width track through a beautiful forest with breathtaking views of the valley below. MTB holidays Spain, Singletrack mountain biking with the Andalucian Cycling ExperienceThe Beast of El Bayor

Probably the most technical ride we have. The majority of this ride is single track with plenty of drop offs, raised obstacles, technical rocky descents/accents and a few tight twisting single track descents through woods. Guaranteed to leave you grinning from ear to ear and a touch tired!

This ride can be extended..should you have the energy!

Rating: Difficult

Beginners may get more from their mountain biking holiday by completing a bike handling skills course with UK Mountain Bike Instruction team. These skills may also be gained/refreshed whilst on your holiday as Ashley is a qualified MTB Instructor.

We always try to tailor rides to suit ability and fitness levels but at the same time want you the rider to experience the best trails you have ever ridden. This usually means a bit of effort in the climb although you can call upon the R.S.N van for help, should you need too.

Many of the trails have a remote feel and you are unlikely to see any other riders with things only getting busy whilst the local shepherd and his flock pass through.
