Special Events

Andalucia is a great place to come and train for your sportives and cycling events that you have organised for the year back at home. However, there are numerous local cycling sportives, mountain biking events and triathlons that you can also sign up for, on our doorstep in the heart of Andalucia.

This page is aimed at keeping you up to date with our local events all you need to do is find an event and we'll help you with your entry forms, accommodation and even give you the heads up on the route.

Road Cycling

During May, usually the last weekend, there is the 202km road cycling sportive. The route usually takes in all the big climbs in the Grazalema Natural Park and Serrania de Ronda in one day. There are food stations every 50km and also a shorter option of 140km.

Endurance Mountain Biking

During may, usually the 2nd weekend, there is the 101km MTB Endurance sportive. The route uses a combination of vehicle width dirty tracks and single track trails. This is a tough one with a brutal climb in the last 3km.

Triathlon

During October, usually the first weekend, there is a Half Ironman at Zahara. This is billed as the toughest Half Ironman in Andalucia. The swim is in the lake at Zahara, the bike ride has 2 Category 1 climbs with over 2200 meters of climbing and then there is the run with a grueling 4km climb up into the beautiful white village of Zahara de la Sierra.
