Silver Cycling Holidays for Mature Riders, Andalucia, Spain

Over 60s Cycling Holidays in Andalucia

Cycling is an activity that can be enjoyed well into our 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, in fact many of my own family members are still enjoying their cycling well into their retirement years. Cycling is a great way to keep active, socialize and compete! Cycling also has many health benefits too, because the bicycle supports your body, cycling isn't necessarily a weight-bearing exercise, (depending on your technique), this means it's good for your joints and helps strengthen your muscles and increase your stamina.

As adults what do we often say to our children and grand-children, ‘You don’t know if you don’t like it until you have tried it’! So why not give it a go in sunny Andalucia, southern Spain?

Our White Villages of Andalucia Self Guided Point-to-Point Tour and single based cycling holidays in Montecorto are suitable for pedaling pensioners who are relatively new to cycling or for the more adventurous silver cyclists why not try our road cycling holidays? All routes can be tailored to suit your requirements.

During your silver cycling holiday you will be visiting many of the beautiful white villages in the Grazalema Natural Park that are synonymous with southern Spain.

At the Andalucian Cycling Experience we are Passionate about Pedalling and equally as passionate about Andalucia, especially Ronda and the Grazalema Natural Park. Our silver cycling holidays combine these passions into a cycling holiday that will be filled with fond and lasting memories. We specialize in fully supported guided tours in our own very beautiful part of Andalucia with the emphasis on easy, gently paced, riding. All you have to do is relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery, along with the excellent local cuisine, tapas and wines…..and of course the cycling! There are plenty of opportunities to stop admire the views, soak up the sun and take some photos along the way.

By far the best way to explore rural Andalucia is on two wheels, you really get to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and smells of the countryside whilst riding. The rides are tailor made to suit your fitness level, you tell us how far you want to ride and we will provide you with a great days riding.

We ride through rolling farmland along quiet country lanes, through forests of Holm Oak, passing by olive groves, orange and lemon orchards and vineyards, stopping each day for lunch and refreshments at one of our favorite tapas bars or local restaurants. During the week we can also arrange guided tours around a local wine bodega which includes a wine tasting and lunch and we will visit a functional olive mill where they still press and produce exquisite local olive oil, we'll also have a taster too, hmmmm yummy!!

When we're not riding you can go walking, visit the Cueva Pileta famous for it's pre-historic paintings and they will be a chance to swim in a fresh water lagoon too.

Enjoy a healthy, active holiday that is good for your mind, body and soul, environmentally friendly and above everything else, great fun.
